Being part of the solution
My new editing bay.
The creative pulse of this town has always been beating. The Boot is trying to bring it out a bit more, by thinking smaller and bigger at the same time.
Thinking smaller, thinking local.
Staying local, building the arsenal right here in Shreveport, Louisiana. Creating jobs and creative opportunities. With the major added benefit of producers reaping the tax benefits of keeping post-produciton in-state without sacrificing quality and efficeintcy.
The Bigger Goal:
What we see are the fancy cameras, the actors, the lights and crew, but that is only maybe 20% of the work being done. Alot of work goes way beyond what is seen on screen: editing, sounds design, color grading, music, VFX and animation, and the whole beautiful, logistical song and dance that comes with putting together a story after the camera stops rolling.
Thats where The Boot comes in.
Building a Louisiana owned post-production facility is thinking bigger. Going outside of Louisiana, to bring productions back from beginning to end. Giving content studios, films, streaming platforms, and marketing agencies a place to do post-production locally. Putting Shreveport back on the map for the entertainment and creative industry.
We specialize in finishing things.
The Game Plan:
For now we are starting small, making connections, testing viability, and fighting to bring major productions here to Louisiana.
Owner, Cameron King, is putting one foot in front of the other, with his extensive knowledge of post-production, branding, political and advocacy campaigning, to bring this venture to reality.
Right now, a national team is in place to handle whatever comes, whether it be editorial for commercial productions or full on Netflix-series. Right now it's a state-of-the-art, remote-first environment streamlined for ease, speed, and simplicity...and to hit the ground running if a produciton were to come into town tomorrow.
The bigger play is to bring those jobs right here to louisiana. Build the infrastructure, higher local talent, and have an official presense and impact in the area for years to come.
This is just the beginning.
In the meantime, The Boot is open to collaborations, media consulting, and other marketing
